I am an Assistant Professor in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Computer Science at University College London, where I lead the Embodied Reinforcement Learning (ERL) Lab.

Our research explores how intelligent agents can learn, reason, and improve through interaction with the physical world. We work at the intersection of reinforcement learning, adaptive dynamic programming, robot learning, and control.

A central goal of our work is to connect perception and action: building embodied systems that can understand their environment, make robust decisions, and operate beyond controlled demonstrations.

Embodied learning and intelligent control

We develop learning and control methods for robotic systems operating under uncertainty, including robust reinforcement learning, disturbance rejection, vision-language-action policies, and real-world manipulation.

Open-source research infrastructure

We develop reusable research workflows alongside our scientific work. Explore ERL Research Skills, our open-source skill system for literature discovery, experiments, paper writing, scientific review, and Robotics & AI engineering.
